Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Joy Jiang
Joy is a senior from Rockville, Maryland and is thrilled to be building the Nova Youth Science Magazine. Throughout high school, she's been involved in various science clubs and research, and she now hopes to expand access to information on, in her opinion, some of the most interesting phenomena in STEM! Outside of NYSM, Joy loves learning how to play Disney songs on the piano, word games, and pastries.

Trang Nguyen
Trang Nguyen is a marketing undergraduate student at the University of Wollongong with a strong passion for STEM discussions. With a background in marketing strategy and extensive research, Trang is dedicated to making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging for the youth. By utilising visually appealing graphics and compelling storytelling, Trang aims to bring science closer to young minds. As the Marketing Director at NYSM, Trang will take measures to expand the mission to create captivating and informative scientific materials across multiple online platforms.

Justin Jiang
Justin is a rising freshman at Montgomery Blair High School. He is interested in STEM subjects and is very excited to be joining NYSM as a Webmaster and a Writer. In his free time, he likes to read and talk to friends. He plays tennis and also swims!

I’m a student at Richard Montgomery HS, and in my free time I enjoy playing tennis, swimming, crocheting and reading literature. I like to solve brain teasers and puzzles, and I find exploring the science or reasoning behind different life “tips” and “hacks” fascinating.

Priyanka Seth is a rising junior and a member of the writing team at Nova Youth Science Magazine. She has a genuine passion for researching and is interested in exploring the field of technology. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, sketching, and indulging in the occasional horror podcast.

Meghna Singh
Meghna Singh is a freshman at the Montgomery Blair Magnet Program. Throughout middle school, she was a dedicated member of the RFMS Science bowl team and was captain in 8th grade, leading them to a 10th place national finish. As a writer for Nova, Meghna aims to spread her enthusiasm for science among young minds in Maryland. When she isn't buried in the latest National Geographic edition, you can find her swimming at her neighborhood pool or playing with her dog Ollie!
